My laptop needs replacing and is damaged in multiple areas but the hard drive is still working and I can move it with ease. I'm a non-expert but can handle a few screws easily of course. Is it possible to buy a second-hand alternative and simply move my hard drive over? I'm struggling to find the exact match on the market and wonder if there are similar models in the family that I should look for in addition.
My power cable is also damaged so I can't boot up my laptop.
