Sony vaio and win 8 crap?

Got à sve1112m1ep for My daugther, plugged in the cabel, 14-dec, To get all updates for win 8, before leaving on vacation, it has almost been updating since then...

Got the last update tuseday, and now the graphics stopped to work.

Last year My other kid got à iMac, took 5 minutes to setup, and has been working since then.

How do i fix this, or shall i buy her an IPAD instead...
