SZ61mn screen problem?

Hi there, i have just bought a sony vaio sz61mn off ebay and i have checked all the warranty status before i made the purchase. I have been using the laptop fine until now for about 2 weeks then i changed the to dark (black) background. I noticed there are stains (uneven backlighting) across around the centre of screen. Anyone could tell me what happened? do i need to send it for warranty repair or is normal?

Welcome to the Club,
I have a LCD projector and it has a few 'stains as you put it' when in black mode now that it is 12 months old. You shouldn't worry about it as long as you can't see it when displaying something.

But it is quite annoying when startup (when screen goes black). You will see alot of stains across the centre of screen which is not totally all Bright Black as you can expected from a X-black vaio screen . Pls help
