Vaio Update wont install 'Vaio Care Recovery Updater'

Hi

I have only had my Vaio laptop 2 weeks.

However, I cannot create recovery disks as when I try to create them, It says first I must oinstall the Vaio Care Recovery software.

When I attempt to run Vaio update, it shows the 'Vaio Care Recovery' as an automatic update, but when I try to update it, it says fails and says 'please wait and try again later'

I have waited and tried several times now to no avail.

Thanks

David

Hi,

I do not know if there is a benefit from this update:

"What does it fix?
Update help file for USB 3.0 support "

so kind of useless.

Just my opinion, of course I have not this software installed, I prefer full backup OS images with Paragon and SSR 13 than Vaio Care Recovery which brings back all the Sony bloatware.

Thanks, this one worked.

Have you also a solution for the intel wireless driver update? That's the same problem.

In the meantime I got the update from the Intel site and that worked. But thanks.

Today I discovered the issue of the update fail in the Vaio update and all the other updates that should download automatically, were blocked too because of the update fail with Vaio Care Recovery Updater. Since I unchecked that one, the others were updating.

And now I have the same problem with 'NFC connection utility'!

" And now I have the same problem with 'NFC connection utility'!"

You should know and it's also marked on Intel's website, that for OEM versions of Windows, users must use the manufacturer's network drivers as they are customized.

It's normal that you are seeing this, I've posted some links for your Vaio model and asked for your specs but you ignored my previous post.

Now, good luck... with NFC.

I know the solution, but no.

How did you upgrade your wireless drivers??

What version do you have now??

By the way, it's Windows 8.1 64-bit not bits...

On the Intel site. Version 1.0.24.13195

You think it did not work via the Intel site? That's possible, but I got no error message.
