how can i download vaio update 5 onto my laptop it has update 4 installed its a VAIO VGN-FW31E model

Usually Vaio Update 5 is offered for download. when you open Vaio Update 4.

However, both Vaio Update v5.1 and v5.5 are available for download on the support website for your model here:-

I am not certain but you may need to install v5.1 first.
