Hi - I have an old laptop with dacent spec that is now dead due to Vista support ending. I'm happy to upgaret to W10 but need more RAM - presently with 4GB, need 8GB. I'm having no luck finding details of the memory expansion pack I need - help anyone?

Hi maruthe38 and welcome.

If you look at the specifications of your Vaio you will see that the maximum RAM the motherboard can recognise is 4GB ( 2 X 2GB).

You will not find an 8GB pack - look at the CRUCIAL website also:-

A Windows 7 Upgrade may be the way forward.
