When I start my vaio fz21e notebook the screen flashes 2-3 times and goes blank ( black)

The laptop is still running but the screen is black.

Back in Feb the motherboard was changed by Sony because of faulty graphics processor ( GPU) and worked properly for about 2 months and this problem appeared.

Can you see anything on the screen if you shine a torch on it?

Does the display show normally if you connect an external monitor?

Do you see the VAIO logo screen briefly when you first turn the Vaio on?

If all 3 answers are 'NO' then you will need to contact Vaio Support once more.

Actually I could see a faint image on the screen if i shine a torch on it .

When I connected to an external monitor was working.

I could see briefly the VAIO logo when I turn the VAIO on.

That means that the backlight is not working properly.  This is good news as it will be the least expensive to repair.

There is either a loose cable making a poor connection or perhaps the Inverter is faulty.

Either way, you need someone to have a look inside for loose cables and poor connections.  This seems the most likely but it may be a faulty Inverter.

What country are you in?  Sony has Service Partners in most European countries and you can ring them for advice.

I will ask Sony but I will not get an answer until next week.  If you can't wait, try a local reputable computer repairer to check inside.
