White display

Hi dudes....
i have my vaio pocket now over 1 year and 1 week before i became this big problem...
i was at my room and i wanted to change my song.... suddenly my sony stopped and i wasnt able to do sth. i resetted it and now i can only see a white display...
it still doesnt work when i plug it in to the computer....
please help me... i dont know what i can do....

ich habe ihn nun schon seit 1 Jahr und bisher keine probleme bis vor letzter woche... ich war in meinem zimmer wollte das lied wechseln aber dann aufeinmal hat der sich aufgehängt ich konnte garnichts mehr machen...
dann wollte ich ihn resetten und es kam dieses weiße display... ich kann nicht mal mehr drauf zugreifen wenn er am pc angeschlossen ist... wiel der pc den nicht erkennt.... bitte hilft mir....

ich habe das gleiche Problem. Hast Du eine Lösung gefunden, ohne den Customer Service in Anspruch zu nehmen?
Wäre super, wenn Du mir das mitteilen könntes, bin echt verzweifelt...

Hi I too have the same problem. I was trying to transfer photos from my camera. It said the transfer failed and the screen freezes. I tried to reset but the screen displays white everytime I plug it into the cradle. Can anyone help us...Pleaseeee

The same thing has happened to mine in the past, usually i just reset it and that sorts the problem out.

if you reset the device,what responce do you get?
does it turn on at all?
maybe it ran out of battery and responded quite violently during turning off.

I had the same problem today. As I doubted it was still in warranty I went ahead and dismantled it. Reseated the hard drive and the hard drive connector to the board and also reconnected battery. This fixed it. I think it may have been a loose connection between the hard drive connector and the main board.

It isn't too fiddly to take apart and put back together. Just make sure you discharge any static first.

I wouldn't recommend taking the unit apart, unless every avenue had been covered and you were thinking of buying a new one!

This has happened to me, the player had frozen and run the battery down causing it to be unresponsive and have a white screen, I plugged it into the cradle and left it for a day to become fully charged, once it is, try the pinhole restart on the bottom of the player.

Let me know how you get on.
