Wireless Scanning?

Hi anyone, i have my sony laptop setup to do wireless printing from my desktop, what i need to know is it possible to do Wireless Scanning? if so what else do i need?

I think that you need a USB server such as this.

Hehe I can't really see a use for this, you'd have to run backwards and forwards every two minutes to turn pages etc
