from what i been told , yes you should beable to put windows on the xbox. do a google for it.

It is illegal to modify an xbox and also is not possible.

it is not illegal to modify any item you own.
but it is illegal you use it for stolen software (copys).
i have had my xbox chipped so i could put a 120gb HDD in it and store my DVD films on it. so i can play them in the car. this way if the car is broken in to or stolen, i wont lose my DVD disks, just the Xbox. they are in the house.
