Accelerometer stops working

The accelerometer of my x performance stops after some days so auto-rotate and other stuff does not work anymore until I reboot...

Guys! Accelerometr died in 20 hours after disabling apps and rolled back whats new app.
Aslo I found the dependency!!!
With more often using these sensors time till died decreasing.
When I do photos and walk by navigator - it takes 1 hour.
When I use my phone rarely - it takes 20h.
So, with disabling these apps (that use sensors) we just increase time till sensors will died.

Same here. Just noticed it happening a few days ago.

For what it's worth - I did not reboot the last 5 days. I took approx. 50 pictures and used the navigation for approx. half an hour.

Otherwise I just used the phone for browsing the web, reading E-Mails, forum browsing with Tapatalk, etc.

I even did a few tests with the diagnostic tool - so far still no issue.

It is great, but I need gmail and google apps and chrome, so it is not good solution for me. Hope we can find the better way.

Also, I am searching the way to delete What's New app.

My problem came back after enqbling and updating Spotify. 

So enabled Playstation and disabled Spotify and rebooted.

Whats new still factory version.

Rotation working again.

I will keep testing photos etc and will use the rotation feature now.

I will report later.

Hi,

I just wanted to add, that it's not only the accelerator, all the sensors listed in the diagnosis section in the settings fail. Namely brightness sensor or the sensor that detects if i approach the phone with my ear.

I have the latest Software update.

Please fix as soon as possible, because it almost makes the phone unuseable and that is not acceptable for a high end, high priced phone.

From my point of view, at least GMail and Chrome should be a problem. I disabled GMail because I use AquaMail to receive my mails. I use Chrome Beta now for a while - but I guess I will stick with Chrome.

As What's new is active on my phone it should not be the cause.

It might be the combination of two or more apps - but I am still just guessing...

Hey everyone
I noticed my cellphone Sony Xperia X-performance has stopped interact and count my steps (it may seem small but its a fault)
and that the screen stopped rotating by tilt 

* Is there a chance those 2 problems are related?
* how can I fix it? can these problems may be software problems?

i rolled back "what's new" to factory settings yesterday afternoon. Up to now I didn't get the issue again.

I'm used to have to reboot every couple of hours, or after the night.

I'll keep you updated if my phone stays working fine.

Update Android System Webview may fix the problem.
