Accelerometer stops working

The accelerometer of my x performance stops after some days so auto-rotate and other stuff does not work anymore until I reboot...

so i was too quick. The sensors just stopped.

I'm trying to find out which apps I've been using.

I thought in such cases Sony have to update us every day, but it is not. We are searching for temporary solution here, BUT we have to be able use our phones on 100% not on 77% or 12%. Sony? Any update?

P.S. Talked with official local Sony Center, they said that it is not a warranty case!!!

I think this is caused by maintenance update provided a few days ago.

This updated my "memory" app, and uninstalling the update fixed the issue.

Go to: setting>app>all app>memory>uninstall update.

My screen rotation stops even if I dont use the phone, only restart fix the problem.

I think that this is a software problem, or??

I saw that someone said Sony says this isn't a warrantable issue. Has anyone else tried having their phone "fixed" or replaced?

This is caused by a bug that causes the accelerator to not work anymore. There is a topic about that. There is no solution for this, jet. After a reboot of the phone the accelerator works again for some time. So a occasional reboot is a workaround for now.

I am trying to tidy up my F8131 by uninstalling/disabling some apps this morning and rebooted.  The issue persisted and I went on with the morning.

However, I realized that I have one more app to disable, which is Gmail - which "webwude" suggested that maybe of the things causing the issue,( and I use Inbox) and also read here that "joima" also discovered the "memory" system app was updated and also have the conclusion that it's related to the issue.  I uninstall the update, force close the app, then rebooted.

My accelerometer has been working for 6 hours now.

Hi, i have a same problem with accelerometer. it doesn't work properly. Reeboting doesn't help, it doesn't help for a long time. Please, make a bug fix as much faster. It's global problem for a lot of people.

I have a hard time believeing this is a hardware error since a reboot will solve the problem, but then again anything is possible.

 Since Rickard said they hoped the last update would fix it sit sounds like a sw issue. 

I got this problem maybe a week ago, did a factory reset and as for all other with this issue, the problem persists.

Ive read all 11 pages and it seems like the main thing is that gyro and accelerometer fails.

Some ppl seem to have problem with light sensor and or proximity sensor as well.

For me I also get a problem with bluetooth, it seems like A2DP fails at the same time as the gyro and accelerator.

I have no idea if this is related, but the both issues started at the same time.

Its quite irritating to troubleshoot since the problem will come after a while, sometimes minutes, sometimes hours.

I will be happy to provide additional info in form of locats or system logs or anything else that might be of interest if needed.
