Anyone own or use this phone? Most reviews I'm seeing say the phone is either average or poor. Should I trust them? I'm kinda worried about getting this phone now. I know people here like Sony phones but I want you to be honest.

If you check reviews on BGR they are pro iPhone, if you check Engadget they are pro Samsung as well as gsmarena, it's better if you stop by a store and test it yourself, after all, opinions are opinions and YOU, not anyone else is going to be using it for 1-3 years.

It's obviously better than my current Galaxy S3 but I just want to know if it's worth the $699. Also which stores in the US are getting it so I can test it?

Sony Xperia X Performance vs iPhone 6s, Galaxy S7, OnePlus 3 Camera Review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xurxfm5FRgs

IMO the Xperia X line are in question as Sony took a bizzare approach and focus. From different site reviews they all cited that there no changes in the camera quality/software except for the new tracking focus and the 0.6 seconds shutter features. That doesn't mean that the device is bad, but I won't shell out around $700 for a device that is supposed to be a Flagship but missing some features like 4K recording and FM radio. A $550 or at least $599 would be an appropiate price for it.

OK I'll go to Bestbuy to have a look at the phone. I won't buy the phone unless I can make payments. I'm not dropping $700 on a phone.

I have the xperia x performance and is way better than the z5 premium. It is the best xperia smartphone yet and this is coming from a guy who owned the z2, z3, z5 compact, and z5 premium. Although it cost a lot more than other flagships this year it is completely worth the money. No other flagships can compare to this amazing phone. I get 6 hours screen on time playing epsxe (ps1 emulator) connected with my dual shock 4 wireless with Bluetooth. I do a lot of gaming and watching YouTube videos and can get 6 hours of screen on time. If you use the x performance casually you can expect up to 7 or 8 hours during my testing. The camera is impressive and is better than the s7 edge when using it during the day. However the s7 edge is slightly better than x performance when it comes to low light scenes. The display of the xperia x performance reminds me of an oled display since it's so vibrant. But don't worry it's not overly saturated like the s7. Outdoor visibility is amazing and the speakers are loud and clear. Overall this was totally worth my money and will use this device as my daily driver. By the way don't listen to the reviewers like phone arena, CNET, GSM arena they are all biased and only you can chooses if the x performance is for you.

Thanks, I think since I live in the US the US model would be better. I'll just have to live without a fingerprint scanner which kinda.
