Can't receive files via bluetooth or Beam after Nougat update

Hey, I can't receive files via bluetooth or Beam from another xperia phone anymore after Nougat update. The sending files works without problems. Any ideas?

I can't see any reaction on receiving Nougat phone. The sending phone tells that creating the connection wad unsuccesful. Phones can find each other anf also pair without problems. Trying safe mode now if i could figure out what it is.

Safe mode does not solve the problem. Still no reaction from receiving phone. It will react properly when i forget both phones from bt settings and find and pair again. Somehow the sharing doesnt get through to Nougat phone.

what file are you transferring? could you try using 3rd party apps like shareit on google playstore?

I found the problem by sending a bookmark from chrome, then tried a photo from Album, then just a txt file from MobiSystem's File Commander and at last a pdf document from Adobe Acrobat. The negative result comes immediately from every app i tested. Cannot create connection. I changed phone's bt name from bt settings and sending phone is seeing it well, so i am sure i trying to send to correct phone.

With ShareIt i can send files to Nougat phone. I am not sure what technology thw ShareIt uses, Wifi or bluetooth.

I also paired the Nougat phone with PC and tried to send any files from PC but no luck either. Pairing works well, sending file is giving gives similar error "Windows was unable to transfer files".

After software repair from Xperia Companion also nothing changed.

Have to admit that bluetooth receiving files/data from other sources is definitely broken and only new update could fix that.

i see, how about trying to perform software repair using Xperia Companion, it is different from soft reset as it will re install the firmware itself.

Did the nougat update change storage permissions for the apps you're using?

Software repair didn't help, still the same situation. But I learned that it's quite time consuming to reconfigure almost everything after that though I had all backups done. Besides e-mail accounts almost no other settings recovered from backups. It's much better in Windows Phone or een old Symbian world where you could get all settings back from backups after resetting the phone.

I have the problem. Transferring Xperia to notebook is OK. Transferring from the laptop into Xperia impossible.
Please help.
