after update to nougat i have the following problem:
i cannot copy folders to sdcard anymore, but files. If i tried to copy folders to sd the windows explorer does nothing. but i am able to copy files!
it also seems that the sdcard is stucked or somethen, then when i try to copy or move folders on the sdcard with file commander or similar apps also nothing happens until i restart the phone.
thats kind of weird

Did you tried repair smartphone? Format SD card? Safe remove SD card from device, push it in PC and then copy?
Hi
in a sd card reader the card works well. when im starting a ftp-server on that device i could write folders and files. But not with the windows explorer: files are okay - folders not. that makes no sense in my opinion.

I just can repeat my post again To repair smartphone, to format sd card and ect Try all these things
Hi @noyse,
I'm sorry to hear about that.
I just tried this with an Xperia X Performance running Nougat and it could move/copy folders from the internal storage to the SD card using the inbuilt file browser in the phone, which you can find in Settings > Storage & memory > 3 dots > Advanced > Internal storage > Explore.
I moved a few files to a temporary folder > press and held on the folder > 3 dots > "Copy to" > choose the SD card and tapped on "Copy". The folder and it's content was copied to the SD card.
Then I connected the phone to a computer, deleted the folder that I had created on the SD card, copied it over from the internal storage and another folder from the hard drive using the normal Windows file manager and the folders and files were copied over to the SD card.
If you create a folder without any files in it, can you copy/move this folder using Windows file manager?
If you can't, do you have another SD card that you can try with in your phone, or if you format the one that you already have mounted in your phone.
Let me know how it goes!
