Change or add new lock screen clock

I've just upgraded from a Z3 Compact to an X Compact, and I don't like some of the lock screen features. I don't like any of the three clocks I get to choose, and I don't see any way to change them, or even to change the color. On my Z3 the colors of the clock were white, so they didn't dominate the screen as this one does. I would like a smaller clock, with white numbers and letters, and I would want to move it higher up on the screen. I don't see any way to do this, and it seems as though lock screen widgets are no longer available. 

Also, I've chosen one of my own photos as the lock screen wallpaper, but the colors are very washed out. If I choose the same photo for the home screen, the colors are just as they were in the original photo, that is, more vibrant. 

If anyone has any suggestions, I would be grateful.

You will need a third party screenlock apps, as for the washed out colors, that's a feature with Android, I don't like it either, although it looks cool when you are playing music, but it'll be great if Google/Android allow users to select if you want to see the HiRes picture/image or blurred/washed out, then again if you have widgets or notifications it's easier to read them/interact with them.

Thanks for your help. I looked at some third party apps, but they all seemed to include themes that don't interest me. I just want to replace, or at least recolor and reposition, the clock. Do you know of any third-party apps that just allow you to choose a different clock?

On my Z3 Compact, the clock lettering is white and the characters are much thinner.

I don't have any widgets or notifications on the lock screen, so I wouldn't mind nice vibrant colors for my photo. In fact, that's how they are on the Z3.
