Hello!
I am very new user of Android (version 7.0) and have a “cosmetic” problem, which hopefully is easy to solve. Unfortunately I can't resolve it myself and I didn't find the answer from this forum by myself.
I copied from my old phone to new phone some pictures to use them as wallpaper. After opening gallery and choosing the photo, the Android required that I must crop the image to finish wallpaper setup. From options “Only once” and “Always” from which I chose the first. After that the picture was displayed “as cropped look”: only one part of a whole picture is picked (cropped) and zoomed / enlarged over the screen.
Well, I didn't like that look and when I wanted to put back previous old wallpaper then I discovered, that all images in my phone (both my photos in Gallery and Xperia wallpapers) are now displayed at the same “cropped way”. It affects also the pre-installed Xperia wallpapers, because backgrounds which before were displayed in full / normal size are now displayed only partly / cropped. No matter how I try, I still can't find a possibility to turn back previous settings.
How can I put back the old display look settings, so that the background looks in full size and not cropped?
THANK YOU!
PS: after that change with picture display I also discovered, that the size of clock on the lock screen has been changed – before it was in normal / smaller size but now in big size. How can I reduce its size back to previous?
@Tanel I believe your issues are not related to the wallpaper settings it self but due a bit of messing here and there with all Android settings.
About the wallpaper: what you selected to be always applied is the Crop app used to change the size of the wallpapers, about the big clock on screen that could be related to the Settings > Display > Display Size settings..
If you could capture some screenshots of your screen then you will help us understandings better the issue. Instructions of how to take a screenshot
Thank you for answer!
This problem begin immediately after I put a photo to wallpaper with cropping it, I didn't change other settings in Android. After that I try to change both text size and icon size from display options, but it didn't solve the problem (which existed already, when I looked the other settings).
Maybe my fingers accidentally happened to push “Always” (instead of “Only once”) and now because of that all images look cropped, when I set them as wallpaper? Is there any possibility to change that option / turn back the choice “Always”?
@Tanel if you used the stock crop function (an orange icon similar to the album app) go in setting, apps, select album, open by default and clear defaults. Will it work?
I just tried, but no help: after I opened by default, the section "other defaults" shows no default sets (button clear defaults is inactive) ...
