Is there an option to save the photos with the date when the photo was tak included in the filename?

I would like to have my photos saved with the date when the photo was taken included in the filename (e.g. DSC_20170511_0001 instead of DSC_0001 haw are now saved).

This because when I remove all the photos from the phone into my laptop, the new photos are numbered starting with DSC_0001 and when I remove again the photos and I have to put them in the same folder, the new file will be saved with DSC_0001 (2) and this is not quite good.

Is there somebody who knows how to do it?

Hi

No you can't change the naming system.

At any folder if you have files with alike names your device number them, 1 2 3... .

The date of photos are available at photos' details.

Good luck

Hi @Mace1,

As @XDevNima said there is no way to change the name a picture is given when the system saves the file to your internal memory or SD card.

To see when a photo was taken you can go to: Album > Picture > Tap the ... > Details

Thanks for your answer.

Maybe some apps to do this job?

Actually not.

Because the system and the official camera app numbering photos.

Maybe you can install another camera app that have this future, but you can't get the highest power from your xperia camera when using another app.

Also you can kill yourself by changing the photos' name one by one with your hand.😁

Good luck
