Thanks. I know the phone isn't perfect but I enjoy having a cool alternative to the iPhone. I sure wish Sony waterproofed this device though. I will be asking a lot of questions!!!

And you did it right! This phone, no matter what the haters are saying, is a little beast. Some idiotic reviewers (at least here in Italy) try to put it down to the level of the new Galazy A3 2017. Not a chance. This one is nearly twice as fast, with an always welcome extra GB of RAM.

Always snappy and never a force close in months using it, apart from a couple of specific apps (always those two, thus most likely bugged). And it comes with Android 7.0, now, which is quite stable and it ironed out some 6.0.1 small but annoying bugs. Also the battery in my experience improved.

I am sure not regretting my purchase. :smileysmileywink:

Mines not good. Had an Xperia Z3 compact previously and it was far better.
Two months old and been for repairs. Still not working properly

No, I don't regeret it but I wish Sony made the same phone for America that they sold in Europe and Japan.  Do you know how I can buy an international Experia phone that has all the extra things like waterproofing and fingerprint technology?  

I don't think I want to buy anymore American Experia cellphones, but they must work in the United States of course.

I'm also having a hard time finding cases for my Sony Experia x compact.  Do you have any suggestions?

where can I get a good case for my experia x compact?  i've been looking all over the internet but it's hard to tell which is the best quality, and unfortunately, there seems to be little choices for cases.

do you know how i can safely install the fingerprint technology, which is on the European Experia x compacts?  I need to find someone who can do this without damaging my phone.

I am mad at Sony for the same reason, not sure why the American market is such.. A problem.

You can buy whatever international version on Amazon, just to quote one, they will all work in America unless you want to connect to cdma networks or Verizon's.

Yeah there is a risk, meaning that the warranty will be mostly not honored...

We need to find out how and where to buy the Experia international version. But I'll stick with Sony for my phones. I like the style. By the way, do you know how to install fingerprint sensor on the Experia x compact?

You could just flash the international variant or your model. For example, if your model is F5321 US, you could download the European version and flash it via flashtool...
