My Xperia X F5122 Isn't Detected by my PC and Laptop

My problem is my phone isn't detected by pc and laptops.

So, I try all of the solution which was given by Sony,

1. Restart my phone, (more than 10 times).

2. Update my phone, (problem started, after i update my phone).

3. Reset my phone, (more than 4 times).

4. Try different cable.

but the problem still occured.

This will be my last solution, is there a way to solve this? or any other solutions?

when i plugged in my device, my pc and xperia companion didn't detect my device. But in device manager it's there bu with an error

anyway i found the solution

  • Go to Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager.
  • Device Manager will display the non working device
  • right click on that device
  • choose Update Driver Software
  • choose Browse my computer fro driver software
  • Enter "c:\windows\winsxs" in the edit field named "search for driver software in this location".
  • Driver Update will search c:\windows\winsxs for the drivers there, this will take a while.
  • Good news. This will also fix this issue for subsequent driver installations - at least on my computer.

Good luck.

Hi @hahaaOtaku, welcome to the community.

Can you please try enabling USB debugging, and see if it will notice it then?

To enable USB debugging please go to Settings > About Phone, then tap on "build number" multiple times until it says "You are now a developer". Then, go back to settings and there will be a new option called "Developer options". In here, turn on USB debugging.

@hahaaOtaku that was exactly what I was going to propose next, just so you know.. it's not a problem with the Xperia software but a bug of Windows occurred after the last software update. You are not the only one having that same issue.

Good Day,

I have tried following the steps provided but my wondows 8 PC does not pick my phone up at all, i have tried using differnet computers(differnt operating systems) and all of my USB ports. The only thing that happens when I plug my usb cable from my Xperia X into the PC is it charges it, I have selected USB debugging mode in developer options but still nothing.

There is no option to select MTP..ETC ehn plugging in my phone. I recentley updated my system software to 34.2.A.2.47.

PLEASE HELP
