New to Sony X phones

Just got a mist blue X compact and I love it because of the size. Smartphones have grown too big for my pockets and I hope that Sony continues to provide sub-5 inch phones...hopefully affordable too. Sony charges a premium price for a plastic phone like this but compared to an Apple phone of this size costs 2 times more. 

I am disappointed as a new owner that Sony is discontinuing the Concept program.

Are the US spec X Compact phones equipped with the fingerprint sensing button?

I do not believe any Sony phones have a fingerprint scanner in the US market. I recommend you contact your Local support team for further information on this topic.

Reason for this inquiry is due to someone in this forum stating that if you load the international OS firmware that you'll be able to activate the fingerprint sensor on the US version. So you are confirming that the US doesn't have the hardware.

@XCompact4me @CameronT I can confirm that the hardware is present but inactive. It can be indeed turned it on by flashing any non US version.
