No UI in camera unless opened from lock screen

Hello.

I recently got the Xperia X and found that when I open the camera app it looks weird. In the screen only appears the front camera view, nothing else; no buttons, no options, nothing.

But when I open the camera from the lock screen it works perfectly. Well, I can use the camera like that. But it is a little annoying.

Welcome to the community.

I am sorry to hear about this issue, it's a strange one indeed. I recommend we start by resetting the camera app. To do this please go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Force Stop > Storage > Clear Data, then restart the phone.

Can you please try this and let me know if it changes anything?
