I'm willing to buy the X Compact in a couple of days, but I saw something interesting online. Can someone look into this? A Sony representative especially.
"So I upgraded my X compact to official Nougat 7.0 a couple of days back and on first impressions I noticed some lag here and there mostly when scrolling
And I knew that Snapdragon 650 is almost clos to SD810 so what could be the problem because it was awesomely fluid and smooth on MM 6.0.1, so I started to dig up and here's what I noticed:
In CPUz app on MM it shows Qualcomm SD 650 @ 1.8 GHz but today I looked it up and in Nougat it shows Qualcomm SD 650 @ 1.4 GHz!!! And if you look at cpu cores, those 2 last core Cpu4 and cpu5 are stopped (i guess those two are A72@1.8GHz cores right?)
So conclusion is that A72 cores which are the main core to maintain smoothness are offline for some reason so Im asking developers to dig this up and help us out
Thank you"
They have always been working. Checking with busybox via adb (terminal) they all show as up and running. The bug is in the monitoring apps under Nougat, not in the phone. Otherwise how can I (and others) get an Antutu score of 80K plus if they were off? Check it here:
With the cores showing as ON (after reboot)
With the cores showing as OFF
In Marshmallow I was getting around 77K. So at least with Antutu Nougat is even faster. And please notice how the CPU benchmark with the cores "off" is even higher.
Hi... Please share your Benchmark Here with this information :
1) Which version of Android you have

after you performed software repair using Xperia Companion, did you imeadiately restore all your apps?
try to see if the lags happen before or after the repair. if it happens after the repair you might want to consider the apps you installed, some may be acting up, or not yet compatible with Nougat
after a recent OS or system update, the phone may experience a bit lag and battery drain, this is normal as most background tasks are active ( cache , indexing etc.)
Hi @Dany1910, welcome to our forums!
I'm sorry to hear about that.
Do you have the STAMINA-mode enabled in your phone? If you have that and is using the "Battery time preferred" feature I would recommend either turning STAMINA off, or that you change STAMINA-mode to for example, "Balanced power saving" or "Device performance preferred".
I would also like to know what @nolramlb asked about. If you started installing new applications after the software repair was completed it may be caused by a third party application.
Do you experience that the phone is slow at all times and is it slow/lagging in certain applications?
To make sure that the phone being slow isn't caused by a third party application I would recommend rebooting your phone in safe mode. Use the phone as you normally would do and see if there is any difference in the performance.
Let us know how it went!
