Smart Cleaner; how exactly it works?

Hi Community,

If anyone has detailed info about, can tell here how exactly works Smart Cleaner on Xperia X series?

How is acts on the apps, memory and sorage to automatically optimize the system?

Which are the parameters it follow?

What is the frequency of automatic optimization?

Thank you!

@Alessio_84 I just received the following information regarding the Smart Cleaner feature.

The cache memory for apps is checked once per day, and if it hasn't been used for over two weeks it's removed from the internal storage (ROM). Apps running in the background that hasn’t been actively used will also be terminated.

Some questions are answered here:

We can try to find out more but probably only in the following weeks.

Hi Christofer!

Thank you so much for your answer and complete information! :smileysmileythumbsup:

So definetly, there is not useful clean the cache manually every week? I must do automatically to Smart Cleaner? Clean manually the cache is not useful for system's and apps performance?

Thanks again!

@Alessio_84 Clearing cache for apps that our used regularly is, in general, not recommend. This would result in the app building its cache again the next time it is used and if this is done often it could impact battery performance especially. This is why Smart cleaner only clears the cache for apps that you're not using regularly.

Hi @Christofer,

Once again your answer is very complete and detailed and this is a very great support! :smileysmileythumbsup:

So, I follow your suggestion and I take under control the battery performance and the growth of the cache without clean it fot all this mounth; then I return to report my personal impressions.

I am sure that all will be exactly as you described however! :smileysmileythumbsup:

Thanks again for this great support in this case! :smileysmileythumbsup:

My best regards!!!
