Some system apps are missing after reset

I updated my phone with January security patch, after some days I opted for reset as the battery was draining too fast but post reset I noticed that some systems apps are missing not only Sony but also Google apps like g+, keep, play games etc. Don't know why? Could someone tell me why is it so? Thanx!!

Hi @Abdullah4,

I'm sorry to hear about that, it does sound very strange. Slightly_frowning_Face

When you reset the phone, did you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion or was it a normal factory reset from Settings > Backup & reset?

If you go to Settings > Apps > tap on "All apps" > Disabled, are any of the apps that are missing in this list?

If they aren't, I would recommend that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will delete all data on the internal storage in the phone so it's advised to backup using Xperia Companion before starting with the repair.

Let me know how it goes! Slightly_smiling_Face

Brother, when I tried software repairs it say's "modified secure software detected. This unit cannot be re-flashed with Sony software. Please return unit where it was purchased.
Error code:UEGetPhoneInfoXCSDevice
UE_2006.
What nonsense is this? I have recently purchased this phone it's just 1 and half months old and it started creating problems.
I don't understand why can't you people make a stable smartphone when you are charging premium amount for your device.
Your software optimization is as pathetic as your service centre, now I have to look out for a service centre and there are hardly any few here where I live.
Seriously, if this is the way you people make your products then I have to seriously think about it, before buying any Sony device.
. . . . . . Thank You.

Hi again!

This error message will be displayed if Xperia Companion detects that the device's software has been modified in some way, not necessarily rooted only. Have you perhaps unlocked the bootloader on your device?

Keep me posted!

Brother first of all I didn't unlocked the bootloader neither my device is rooted everything was fine until I reset my phone. I dialled *#*#7378423#*#* and in the rooting status section it's shows 'Bootloader unlock allowed:yes'.
And I am sure there is no error from my part.

Hi again!

Have you managed to repair the software in your phone yet, or are you still receiving the same error message?

Let me know if it worked to repair the software and how it works after that!
