Sony Xperia X music playback issue

Let's begin. As of the new update (Nougat 7.0) I have not been able to listen to my music or any audio and video via my headphones without it frequently pausing. This includes YouTube, the music app, album... Quite literally anything. I have the beats solo 2 and they worked perfectly fine before the update but now I cannot even listen to music for 30 seconds without it automatically pausing.

When I plug in my headphones it'll work for like 5 seconds before playing sound out of the phone's speakers instead of my headphones. I have already tried a factory reset and I won't lie it kinda worked however if I press any keys on my headphones it will pause the music. If I then try to resume the music it will play it from the speakers again.

I'm so furious because I don't want to have to send it off as just resetting my phone was a major pain, but I see no other choice. Can any help me at all?

Is it possible for you to test some other headphones and see if the issue persists?

Literally just did as you sent that. I tried but it still seems to be the phone. I also tried my headphones on other phones and it works fine.

have you tested a different pair of headphones with your phone? as @CameronT suggested?

If it's doing the same thing with other headphones, let's test it in safe mode and see if it is potentially caused by app interraction.

@CameronT I already tried that but alas with no positive results. @uliwolly yeah I have. No effect however I am using a different pair right now which haven't paused as I know of. Probably because I haven't used the music app yet.

Well I have this same problem as @Moyosore on my Xperia X with Beats Solo 2, on Android 6.0* was everything OK but after update to Nougat 7.0 I have problem with pausing and switching to phone speaker. I have problem with receiving call via headphones when I click button on headphone phone is receive phone call but on phone speaker. Please help, after factory reset problem don't despair.

Does it only happen with your Beats headphones? Do you have any others that you can test?

@CameronT on Sony MH410c everything is OK, on Solo 2 not. On Android Marshmallow was on Beats Solo 2 ok too after upgrade to Nougat on Solo2 is not ok, i think this is software problem not hardware
