I currently have a Sony Z3 Compact which works superbly for screen mirroring with the Chromecast. The Sony Z3 Compact is listed as being optimised to work with the Chromecast as per https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6293757 However I would like to upgrade my phone to the Sony Xperia X. This phone is much newer, but is not on Google's list as being optimised for Chromecast. I want to upgrade my phone to Sony Xperia X, but i am worried that screen mirroring will be a downgrade despite having a much more powerful phone. Will screen mirroring work as well as it does on my Sony Z3 Compact? If I could get some feedback (eg regarding lag) about screen mirroring with the Sony Xperia X via Chromecast that would be great
you would be better off asking at google chromecast forums if they support Xperia X.
device connection settings in XPeria X has cast option which says, "mirror your xperia on your google cast compliant TV or device ( such as Chromecast)
I asked on the Chromecast forums, but no many people have the Sony Xperia X . I think that the people here already own a Sony Xperia X and some may also own a Chromecast and may be able to share their experience of screen mirroring with the Chromecast. Would love to hear some feedback
