Hello
On my new X Compact with stock german FW, the navigation bar sometimes hides and i can only see the bar when swiping over the screen...only a reboot brings it back. Is this a bug? i can´t find any setting for that option...
Thank you

Hi again!
I have received some more information about this, and what @Alessio_84 wrote is very correct, thanks for helping out!
The easist solution is to disable Google Now.
1. Long press on an empty area of your application Home screen, then click Settings.
2. Find Google Now™ and disable it.
3. Reboot your device.
Let me know if that helps!
Hi @SirRobin,
I'm sorry to hear about that.
I want to make sure that I understand your question correctly.
You are referring to the soft keys (Back, Home and Task) at the bottom of your screen, is that correct?
These should not be hidden unless you are using an application that hides them, for example bringing up a YouTube video in full screen.
How often would you say they are hidden, is it a few times per day or once/twice per week and when they disappear, are you using a specific app or a service prior to this happening?
I would recommend that you reboot your phone in safe mode to make sure that this isn't caused by a thirdparty application, to exit safe mode simply restart your phone!
Let me know how it goes!
No, sorry, i think my information was not enough.
Not the soft key buttons at the bottom, i mean the status bar at the top of the screen (wifi/battery/bluetooth/nfc/etc).
Oh, I see.
The same goes for the status bar, there is no setting in the phone to hide this bar, you can only choose what should be displayed on the bar, not remove it completely. So I would recommend rebooting your phone in safe mode and see if the status bar hides itself when third party applications aren't loaded.
Keep me posted!
Hi @SirRobin,
The cause of your problem is a bug between the Google app lastest update and the Sony's Home launcher. Yhis bug affects also the change of buttons of the navigation bar that don't change according to the theme but remain stock by Sony.
To solve the problem you can disable, in launcher settings, the Google Now pane or totally disable the Google app if you don't use it. In this way the status bar reamins always visible (except in the drawer).

Doesn't even need rebooting. Just disable Google Now, which will make it roll back to the factory version, then enable it again.
I'm not sure what 'updates' I lost in this process, but I sure wasn't about to add yet another swipe just to turn my mobile data on! (which btw, still needs another extra press after this ridiculous Nougat update... 😭)
Hi @Prince13,
Thanks for helping out!
Regarding the extra click to enable or disable mobile data, I'm afraid at the moment there is no other way to do it, and I understand it's not optimal having to use another press.
I thank you for your feedback regarding this and I will forward it as user feedback!
You're welcome!
I will make sure to let them know about the Album application as well and I thank you for telling me about this!
Let me know if there is anything else and have a great day!
