Hi, need some help in resolving a corrupt USB driver for the Xperia Compact X. I was transferring some pictures from my phone to my laptop (Windows 10) and the transfer stopped in between with an error message (don't remember the error now). After that the laptop failes to recognise my phone and there is an unknown device in the Device Manager. Downloaded the Xperia X Compact driver from the developer website and installed it but it returned a Code 10 error and now there is a yellow exclamation mark in the Device Manager next to the Sony driver. Please help in resolving it. I have rebooted my phone and laptop, still no go.
Since the Nougat upgrade, the Experia Companion no longer works when the Compact is plugged into the PC by USB.
Ive taken a screen shot to show the (Compact) F5341 is not recognized under the device manager. Ive gone to the sony mobile developer site to download the drivers for the Compact, however, they are not recognized as updates.
Not only is the Companion software not working but cannot even open the device properties under the PC option. Require the device drivers to be updated.Ive upgraded the Companion software by uninstalling the 1.4.7 and have reinstalled to the newest version, 1.5.3.
The driver details on the Developer Sony mobile site are showing back in Sep 2016. This android update clearly has messed up the USB connections to the PC.
Anyone have any troubleshooting ideas that have worked ?
holy, i found it .....
(1) Go to C:\Windows\INF
(2) Type "wpdmtp.inf" in search bar provided to the right of the address bar in Windows 10.
(3) Once you found it, just right click on it and select install. It will take a very few seconds.
(4) Connect your device to the pc.
Done.
It didn't work to me
wonder why ??
whats happening under the device manager when you plug in the device using USB ?
as before when I plug in the phone after the process you told, windows automatically search for drivers and after that the phone is shown as F5341 with a warning mark.
From the device manager, double click to the device with the warning, try to install manually the drivers or try to uninstall them. Do not reboot and try the process described above. Then reboot.
same problem.. I forgot to mention, device manager says error 19 and also microsoft's solution didn't work. on deviece manager driver tab shows driver not available
Hi,
I'm having problem with my Xperia X Compact not recognized by W10-computer and Xperia Companion. Some driver issue because of the yellow warning along with "F5321" (XC-model) in Windows Device Manager. I have tried all advice in this forum without luck.
Best regards,
Ulf
