Xperia X whats wrong with my/our devices?

Hello community,
I got my xperia x almost 40 days ago at very beginning i relized it has performance problems i tried asphalt 8 and some other games it was not even close to the benchmarks i saw game was stuttering the whole moments on every quality option but heck i thought with me self im a pc gamer who needs gaming on smart phones lol! Till 3 weeks ago different things went wrong with my phone rotation sensor getiing bugged(restarting would fix it) then mobile phone went silent i mean complete silent with sounds(restart would fix it) and plus something new happend last night i tried to restart this masterpiece and it got stuck shutting down loading! So i left it on itself for almost 8 hours and it got fixed after that, I have a big question here is this for your bad and incomplete updates? Or im just scammed and i dont know yet cause 40 days! I mean after 6 months maybe its reasonable but 40days!!

Updating to a newer Android milestone over the old one might cause such software instabilities. I'd suggest that you backup using Xperia Companion then perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory. Follow the steps given in the blue link, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

Hi @xxxTOXICITYxxx, welcome to the community.

Have you rooted your phone?

If not, here's some tips to try getting Xperia Companion working with your phone. Try these methods one after the other. Verify after each method whether the problem was solved, before trying the next one.

  • Try different USB cables and a different USB port in your computer.
  • Make sure that you have a working Internet access. Visit any website, for example, www.sonymobile.com, to verify that the computer can access the Internet. If that is a problem, please check cable, router or the Internet service provider etc.
  • Check your firewall and make sure that Sony Ericsson Update Engine and Xperia Companion are allowed to access the Internet. For instructions, refer to the user guide for the firewall.
  • Check your proxy settings. If you are trying to update your device when connected to a corporate network, you might be using a proxy. Contact your network administrator for further assistance.
  • Check that Java is up to date on your computer. https://java.com/en/download/
  • Restart the computer and try again.
