I have had my Sony xperia z3 for 4 months, I was happy with everything I saw. Even though I was confused by all the new gizmos (haven't had an android phone since 2004ish), I was astonished by the ease and use of most things in the xperia. With that in mind (here comes the frustration) this new software is not to my liking at all. The battery exhausted is a given add in the lock status bar screen with WiFi, Bluetooth, and flashlight only.it'll let me change the home screen status bar widgets but not lock screen. Another is the double pull to show all of the status bar...simplicity is not in the future I see, what was wrong with status bar pull once and tap on widget or notification, I enjoyed that plus I have to go to home screen to do what I could do with a locked screen. it's a little hard to type because it adds words in when I try to delete a letter. I don't like to complain but it's really annoying. Also with the lock screen, I enjoyed the freedom of swiping anywhere and it having the orbs fly all around my picture or other theme, now I'm having to swipe a mandatory way and orbs only with full xperia theme only. The ease of use is not here now when I can't just plug into my ps3 and have full media access without WiFi or Internet needed. I haven't tried my ps4 but it's probably the same. These are not ramblings of an old man but issues and adjustments needed for a happy customer. Sony products are great but I want Sony simple not millions of channels to toggle to get the same thing with a flick of the wrist as I could before. OK I think that's it, I'm calming down.
