Xperia Z tablet won't update.

I've tried to update to 10.5.1.A.0.283 for quite some time now, on the device when I click install it instantly restarts and gives me the error 'could not install new software version, try again'
I've tried doing it using the PC but it's the same error. Can anyone help?

Have you unlocked the bootloader?

Thanks for your reply, I'm unsure what this means. I read around that It may be rooted, so downloaded an app from the app store which says IT is.

Do you get an error saying that your phone has modified software?

Sorry, I meant to say it isn't rooted.
There is no error about modified software, just simply could not install new software, please try again.

Hello.

I have the same problem with the update. Can't install it anywhere: not on the device itself, not on the PC. Error 2003: found modified firmware. The tablet is NOT rooted.
