Screen Unlocks When You Answer Phone Using SBH52 - Causing Buttons To Be Pressed

Hi everyone!!

I'm facing the same issues as well. I don't have any screen lock app with my phone. At factory settings and updating, I tried making a call to my Sony Xperia Z Ultra. 

1. Call comes in

2. I press the button on my SBH52

3. Call is answered but screen becomes unlocked

4. Any options on the screen can be pressed

5. Brushes against the insides of my pocket and causes calls to be dropped accidentally

Important note to stress upon: I wish to answer without taking out the phone especially when I'm driving

If this was in my pocket, the call may accidentally be canceled. I wish to be able to answer my calls without taking out my phone from my pocket. However, there were a couple of times my calls got disconnected because of the unlock screen upon answering from SBH52. The screen must've brushed on the inside of my pocket and cancelled my calls. If I take it out, there isn't any issue.

Can you please advise on this? Or if Sony isn't going to provide a patch to update this, is there any app alternatives? Thank you so much! I love this product! Kudos!

Same problem here. If sbh52 already has an app, can you make it like an option there?

Try  to clear data for smart connect.

What is the point? I would understand if the problem occurred after some time off proper behavior. But the problem is from the very beginning. It is more of Android issue maybe, because my Xperia ray turned the screen on when calling through car handsfree too. So the point is more like - can sony offer a workaround.

I agree! There must be a work around for this! Thank you for bringing it up! More voices please ha ha ha... We are still waiting for a Sony representative to give a favourable reply to this (note: "favourable" and not the usual "I don't bother to read this and I'll just cut and paste some answer that you already know and doesn't solve the issue and then no more answers" answer....eg. Same Issue) Thanks Sony!

I have the same problem with my Bluetooth headset unlocking when I take a call just after updating to Lolipop. It is very annoying and further a real issue when I'm driving.

It happens the same to me.

For instance, I was holding a conversation today and had it cut off three times until I realized that the phone was in the pocket of my trousers (all of the sudden felt the phone heating up my leg).

Other times, I had made phone calls to people in my contact list, or sent text messages... quite random things but all during or after having a phone call through SBH52 because the phone screen remained unlocked.
