Can anybody help me and tell me how to select a text then copy/cut it then paste it ?? its killing me not being able to use this feature!
thank u
From where exactly are you trying to copy and paste? I assume you are asking about the basics. The general rule is this:
- Long press on the text and you will see two adjustable tabs on either side of a portion of the text on which you long pressed. You can drag the tabs both ways to select text you want to copy. You will see four icons, usually on the top of the screen. The one that looks like Microsoft Windows' logo is 'Select all'. The one that has a scissor image on it is, as you can easily presume, 'Cut'. The one with two sheets, one behind another, is 'Copy'. The one with a cardboard pad like icon is "Paste".
Some apps, especially text editors, may have their own set of options and icons. And some apps like the default messaging app do not allow you to copy a portion of the text, but only the whole of the text.
Sometimes you may have to double tap to select a text instead of long press and single tap to copy.
it works perfectly for me...
if any one asked me to send him any one of my contact number. how i can cope this number of contact to paste it in a message to send
There is also a trick with the chrome browser to copy the URL you need to double tap twice. The first double tap brings up the caret, the second double tap brings up the option to select the text.
The built in browser only requires a single double tap.

I realize this is an old thread, but tks for the info. This feature is really BADLY done. It is easy once you have it explained, but I spent hours trying to figure it out.; sometimes I could get it by fumbling around blindly, but I really didn't understand exactly what I was doing. My HTC, on the other hand, is totally intuitive about this and similar stuff
