OK. I just officially bought my first Androd.
To my dismay... yes, changing fonts or adding fonts is a BIG TASK.
I don't want to root my Android (maybe at a later date....)
Found out that Tibetan and Punjabi are not supported in the fonts installed.
So.... HOW?????
App?
Maybe Sony will give us a more complete font set????
HELP!!!!
Unfortunately I have no better advice for you other then to check Google Play store for options. But I can forward your feedback about support for more fonts as default.
Unrooted, you cannot add/modify fonts to the Xperia Ion, or any other devices except Samsung.
So, I might as well have bought a Samsung.
But I bought a Sony so I hope Sony does something to fix this issue.
a) Either allow users to add/change fonts
b) Add more font glyphs by Firmware
In my Nokia, I use Font Zoomer by Somyac. Somyac has a similar product for the Android. Also there is an app called Font Changer. But it is for Samsung & Rooted Phones Only
When my Sony is rooted, I lose warranty & support so I hope there is some form of workaround the Sony Engineers can do to alleviate this.
This is a make or break issue. If you do not offer support for these languages, your market size dwindles.... and of course... collapses becase of a mere error where the user cannot use the phone because it does not have the ability to read/write in a language they speak.
