LTE will drain your battery faster, and also poor network coverage will drain your battery faster, contact your local network and ask if they have any network coverage issues on both 3G and 4G, some carriers have a map.

4G does use more power but obviously has better speed but which is better, This all depends on what you are doing, For me I use only 3G as I only check emails but my Son uses 4G and he watches a lot of Youtube

Hi Aier...same here, in my area, the 4G - LTE signal is spotty at best.  My mobile provider is still in the middle of the deploying their 4G LTE so, I only get it when I'm in a busy business district or commercial area...most residential areas are still in HSPA+ or 3G.

If you only need regular internet browsing, like reading emails, articles or Twitter or FB...then 3G is enough for my experience.  If you download stuff or watch streaming videos in HD or something that require more bandwidth, then, you use LTE (4G).  So, I guess, it depends on your browsing behavior.  I suggest that you try it a few days using only 4GLTE....and then a few days using only 3G signal.  That's when you can decide if the battery life is more important than internet speed.

But I think mobile carriers are moving fast to expand their LTE coverage...so, I'm really hoping by middle of the year, they should be able to cover most of the city.

Enjoy your Xperia Z3!
