Alarm is not silent in silent mode

Hi,

I have a z3 Compact. After I updated it to 5.01, when I setup an alarm, it ring in silent mode. Does silent mode means keep silent? Are there any solution?

Note: There is no "Alarm in silent mode" option anymore after updated.

The silent mode are for notifications texts, emails, etc. Not alarms.

Alarms will ring through Silent mode, they are considered as priority all the time on any mode. The only way to silent an alarm is to deactivate it.

I think this is not logical. Silant mode should be everything is silent. When a user clicks silent, they would not expect to hear anything. If there is exception that they want to hear, do more setting in priorty mode.

It is logical, the silent, sound, priority are for notifications not alarm.

One thing I need to check with you guys. SW3 states this when you change to silent: not even alarms. Changing sound mode on the watch will change it too on the device. And if you say alarms are supposed to ring in silent,why SW3 says no alarms? Probably no alarms only on the watch. Strange though.

I never got my alarms on SW3 and actually I'm happy it doesn't

It takes me like a couple of snoozes to wake up, that's why I set my alarms 30 minutes earlier than normal. If the watch was taking alarms its battery would completely be drained by the time I wake up!

On another note: Setting your SW3 to silent will set the phone with it. I have a mixed feeling about this. As I needed an option to silence notifications on my watch but not he phone, I think that the new theatre mode does this partially. In the meanwhile, it's still usefull to put ur phone to silent mode without getting it out of your pocket in a meeting or so.

Just to note that I get a notification of "incoming alarm" before the alarm itself on watch, but I'm not using the Xperia clock app for alarms anyways, I use Timely.

I understand what you say,but it is strange. Watch says no alarms in silent, the device will ring in silent. Normally,the watch doesn't ring for device alarms (in the default clock app).
