Bluetooth keeps connecting disconnecting

I have Volvo V40 and when I step in my car with my bluetooth enabled already, I see on my Z3 Bluetooth connect sand then disconnect. This repeats all the time. When I then disable bluetooth, wait a while and enable bluetooth again, the problem is gone. I don't know for sure, but what I have see on my car's phone menu, although I get these disconnects on my phone , the disconnects are not noticed by my car. But again, I didn't look into that yet. Do you have similar problems?

Im having the same issue with my Z3 and ZGPAX S360 smartwatches. This is frustrating!!!! Please make a patch or something! Everybody complains about your top smartphone and you do nothing! If you not fix it I doubt someone on this thread will ever buy something with a SONY label...

Same issue - we bought 50 or so  phones for work, but Sony support keeps denying that there is a bluetooth issue.

Our problem: bluetooth keeps disconnecting from the headsets during calls.

We have tried several different headsets from different brands.

SONY listen???

We are using the lastest firmware on both the phone and headset.

PS Our iPhones are working without issues, and even samsung s3 are working flawless

Have the same issue with my KitSound Outrun earphones.

Connect to Xperia 3 without issue but if I move phone I loose connection then reconnect.

Returned my first set of earphones thinking taht they were faulty. But replacement set

were the same...

Bit of an issue if you are wearing them during a workout...

Any solution to this problem yet?

I have the same problem with my Xperia Z3 (I had the problem on Lollipop and I also have it with Marshmallow), with four different Bluetooth devices:
1. Portable Bluetooth device in my car (Cartool BT66 transmitter)
2. My other car's stock Bluetooth equipment (Renault Twingo)
3. My Sony MDR-ZX770BN Bluetooth headset
4. A JBL Charge 2+ speakerphone

Sony should really take this seriously, this is a shame.

I've been having the same issue (frequent Bluetooth connection drops) with my Sony Xperia Z1 Compact since last official software update (Android 5.1.1). The ussie is getting worse with time: drops of connection happen more often, and Bluetooth devices (SWR10 in particular) don't reconnect on their own like they used to when the issue just started. Now I have to turn Bluetooth off, then on, then manually pair SWR10, because it just won't do it on its own, no matter how long I wait.

I've Googled and read tons of similar cases and suggested solutions for hundreds of users with the same issue.

I tried it all, but to no avail:

1. Running a factory reset on the smartphone

2. Running a factory reset on the SWR10 and other Bluetooth devices

3. Deleting and re-pairing of all Bluetooth devices

4. Clearing cache of all Bluetooth-associated apps

5. Deleting and re-installing all Bluetooth-associated apps

6. Turning off Stamina mode

7. Turning on Stamina mode and adding all Bluetooth-associated apps to its list of exceptions

8. Running an built-in Bluetooth test

9. Software repair via Xperia companion

10. Re-installing smartphone's operating system via Xperia companion ("clean isntall")

11. Bluetooth Auto-Connect app (which automatically reconnects any lost Bluetooth connections, but didn't do this for my SWR10)

The only thing I didn't try was an alternative operating system like Cyanogen, because I use mobile banking apps, which do not allow any third-party Android operating system variations for security reasons.

Here's the only thing that has solved my Bluetooth drops issue, but it is not a viable one:

turning Wi-Fi off.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth seem to work flawlessly only when one of them is turned off. This is actually often suggested on official Sony message boards.

I do not consider this an acceptable solution for a flagship smartphone of a premium brand. Users shouldn't have to choose between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. I, as well as many other Sony fans and Z series owners, constantly use Bluetooth for my other Sony accessories that have to be connected to the smartphone 24/7, and needless to say I often use Wi-Fi too.

I've had this issue for almost a year now. And from what I see on forums, for some users the issue has been around since 2014.

I strongly hope some official statement and fix for that is coming from Sony.

I am having the same issue with a Z3 and LG media nav. I had a update on my phone and then from then on it will connect to other devices but with the media nav system it will connect and the disconnect with in seconds. I have done updates on all both the phone and the media nav and yesterday still no joy? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have Z3compact, and suddenly Bluetooth disconnects. I turn it on again, and after about some minutes, it turns off again.
Also have Z2, X, tablet Z and Z - No problems there.

I have a Z3v and I am having this bluetooth connection issue with any device that is not a Sony product.  I have 4 different Sony Speaker/Radio devices it works perfectly with but in my Ford Tauras that has microsoft SYNC technology (with a SONY sound system) the bluetooth will connect and disconnect intermittently for some reason.  I dont believe this is an issue with the car radio, this is most likely a firmware issue with the phone of some sorts and there hasnt been an update for my phone since March of 2016, that was over a year ago Sony???!!!  Please help because this is very annoying.
