Connect to PC via Wi-Fi

Hello, I can not connect my Z3C to the PC via wi-fi neither from the PC Companion How to connect wizard , nor by pairing it with t through the Portable Device Network Configuration from Windows . Both PC Companion How to connect wizard and Portable Device Network Configuration hand when connecting the phone. They do nothing for more than 10 minutes. Phone is in MTP mode. Can you tell me what more information do you need in order to fix this ? Best

It should be simple - Open Pc Companion then without your phone been connected click on How to connect then select wi-fi and go through the instructions then it will ask you to connect via usb so it can push the correct settings to your device - once done and you have to open on your phone Settings then Xperia connectivity then USB connectivity and then tap your Pc's name

After reading on another site that i have to keep the screen on during the entire process, i changed the screen off to 30 minutes and started the procedure again - this lasted for more than 15 minutes .  After that the phone was paired - but it is still unrelentless in it's stubborness in connecting to the PC . I am now stuck in the connect phase of the 5 phase wizard and the phone won't connect to the pc.

You should have something pop ip on your phone which you need to tick which allows your Pc and phone access to files - I think from memory it's an RSA key

While trying to connect from the phone to the the paired pc i get nothing.for a couple of minutes it's in connecting then it goes straighr to not connected and the pc companion does nothing!

Try restarting your phone and Pc and start again - I've just tested mine again and I do get a message on my phone to allow or grant access to which I have to tick a box - If I don't then I have what you experience

The issue was that i also had a vpn online - i restarted both pc and phone. Thank you Thomas, it was a pleasure to see such a quick answer from someone on the internet . I wish you best!

problem not solved for me... pc and z3c seems paired beacause on the android screen I see the name of my pc

I click on it to connect... connection in progress ("Connessione in corso..." in Italian) and after 1 minute it displays a connection error

I don't know How to connect my phone to my pc via WI-FI...

my phone is brand new and original, not rooted.. what can I do? I just restared pc and phone many times, but nothing seems work

Did you got through the setup via Pc Companion - Did you tick the box to allow the RSA key if not then you may have to restart the whole procedure or you have a firewall blocking you or your Anti Virus is

I found my mistake! my home network has two wifi connection "Azoto" and "Azoto2"... the first time I tryed to pair my phone, pc was connect to Azoto, and Mobile phone to Azoto2... I didn't see that! So my pc was visible on android but, beacause on a different wifi network, was impossibile to work.

Now I removed previous connection, and started from the beginnig and selected the right (the same) pc wifi network, and it works great!
