Hi,
I've read all these posts with interest, because I can't pair my Xperia Z3 compact with my PC. I've tried everything suggested here, and I have tried turning my firewall off, opening windows explorer as administrator in order to run the wizard, but nothing. I have tried pairing as suggested on the phone, from Windows explorer, and by reinstalling the PC Companion software and chosing Wifi when asked how I want to connect to my phone.
One time, the wizard told me that the phone and the PC were already paired (the phone confirmed that they weren't); every other time the wizard (or sometimes the Sony PC Companion software has just hung and stopped responding. After 10 minutes or so, I close them.
One odd thing that may/may not be connected is that every time I connect my phone ot the PC using a USB cable, I get a message on the phone telling me to install the latest software on my PC. If I accept, a dialogue opens on the PC, and downloads the same version of the PC companion software that I already have installed.
I am running Android 5.0.2 on the phone and Windows 7 professional 64 bit on my PC together with McAfee anti-virus and firewall (sometimes disabled.) The Sony PC companion is 2.1.0.0 updated 10 April 2015.
Is there an issue with the Sony software on a 64 bit OS? It's support page says that it should work.
All ideas gratefully recieved.

I have the same problem with my phone.
It pairs, but doesn't connect.
However, I have no problems connecting my Z1 Tablet (both upgraded to Android 5). That means it is less likely to be my PC settings, but something with phone or PC companion..
