Hi,
When I plug in Sony headphones, my Z3 detects the model and sets it automatically in audio settings. Great.
The problem is that if I plug in non-Sony headphones later, the setting doesn't change back to Generic automatically.
So I need to go and switch it manually every time (because I use one set from Sony and another one 3rd party).
It would be really great if this info would reach devs, because it sounds like a trivial thing to fix... if you don't detect headphones, simply put the setting to "Generic".
Solved! Go to Solution.
I got some more information about this and i'm afraid the phone will not be able to detect different headsets automatically. It will not do that with our headsets either. The only time it can detect automatically is when a 5-pole headset is connected. It will then switch to MDR-NC31E/NC31EM automatically.
Have you contacted Xperia care to forward this to them? http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
Well, if you say that this is the right way to report bugs - I will do it now.
I just saw that Sony support guy now participates in this forum, so I thought maybe this is how I could reach the devs faster...
They aren't devs
and the Devs on the developer section on this forum work with members of XDA for example and custom Roms
So I contacted Xperia Care in the Netherlands. And after a week of delay I got a message asking me to repair the phone with PC Companion, and this doesn't help, go to repair center (!). Amazing Xperia Care!
Is there any region where Xperia Care actually provides care? I would try to contact them...
This really pisses me off, honestly...
Could any of you confirm that you are seeing the same behavior with the headphones, please?
I am pretty sure that this happens on any Z3 from the very first moment of buying it.
But just to be 200% sure...
Hi @dmitryperets !
We are here and read as many topics as we can to stay tuned with our customers and their thoughts of our products and services.
As @Thommo mentioned I'm no developer and neither are your local support team but I will try to forward this to the concerned team.
Thank you for your feedback.
Hi Johan,
Thanks for your response.
Of course, I don't expect developers to be here. I was looking for support people who could gather relevant things and forward to relevant teams.
And the same I would expect from Xperia Care team as well - as per my understanding, this is called "technical support".
So it is good that you are here and I don't expect that you send me a fix personally. All I expect is to confirm the issue and forward to relevant teams.
By they way, if you have Xperia Z3 available, could you please just confirm that you see the same behavior?
Yes, i see the same thing when testing this here.
Great, thank you!
