Downloaded small apps won't work

I downloaded some official small apps like Mirror from Google Play Store, but they just don't appear when I tap their icons on the small app manager. However, those stock small apps like Active Clip work well. Also, I tried some third-party small apps. They won't show up through the small app manager unless they can be run once through the launcher first. My Z2 is on the latest 1.232 fw. Is this a bug of the small apps themselves, of the small app manager, or of the fw? How can I fix it?

You know you can add them from google play? There is a + sign.

Yes, I do. I have already installed them, but I can't launch them in the small app manager, unless they have icons in the home launcher and have been launched once in it.

Well, I am not sure because on my Z2 every small app shows up but I am not on the latest firmware. Can you try to restart your device and check again?

That makes no sense. I even did a factory reset and flashed the fw. Also, I noticed that some people commented in Google Play Store that those small apps (Currency, Mirror and Units) don't work on Lollipop.

I have currency converter, translate small app and all of those work normally. Tonight I will update to .232 and report back.

All of them seem to work properly on .232 @K_W. Could you check safe mode?

I'll try it. I would like to repeat that stock small apps work, downloaded ones which can be launched through home launcher work, too, but downloaded ones which can only be launched through the small app manager don't. Safe mode only enables system apps, right? So maybe I can't test the downloaded small apps.

Yes, but you can give it a try just to boot in safe mode then back in normal mode. I don't understand why you would have this issue.
