Upated to 5.0 over the weekend. I have haptic feedback on the Home/return/app row at the bottom of the screen. I don't have any feedback when opening any app or sending a text. The motor obviuosly works, because it works on the home row keys. I tried the factory/google keyboard and SlideIT keyboards, no luck with either. I have messed with sound, display, and power settings with no luck. This is the only thing that is really bugging me after the lollipop update. The battery life sucked at first, but killing the emai app after opening/synching/checking fixed that. If anyone can help with the haptic issue, it would be very appreciated!

No, just the regular Sony/Android included SMS. I installed SlideIT (bought it years ago when Nexus did not have Swype support.) I installed that trying to see if it would fix it. At this point, I have haptic feedback through either keyboard....

It still does it in safe mode.

It looks like that is going to have to be the next step... Thanks for all the help with this.

Going to revert to Kit Kat... Too many problems. Lollipop makes me want to throw my Ultra against a wall.
5.02 really seems to have fixed pertty much most of the issues. Much happier now.
