Hi,

I have an Xperia Z, with a cracked screen that is not responding to touch anymore.

Tried to copy files from Phone to PC, but I'm not able to see the sd-card or files.

Tried the PC Companion. It sees the phone, but say's it has to be unlocked. Which is not possible anymore.

I also tried MyPhoneExplorer (which seems to have spyware on board according TrendMicro), but also no success.

Please help, because I need my 1100 pictures....

PROBLEM: Black screen no way of getting data off

spent 3 days trying to fix it.

did the sdk thing with no luck

did the otg with no luck (p.s use a keyboard and press enter for black screens)

Thus dropped it on the floor started to work again, BACKED EVERYTHING UP

This is the ,ethod for sony xperia Z premium/////Turn off the phone with power button and volume+ (hold them together), connect the mouse or keyboard with OTG cable and than turn on the phone. Then you can use the mouse to do everything.

Hi All

i have same issue, my touchscreen does not work anymore .

when i connectmy Sony xperia XZ to pc it does not recognize my phone is only loading..

this is because i can not turn on USB mode..to transfer data..

I also bought a OTG cable which i used to connect my mouse to the phone, but mouse doenst show a red light below..when i connect same mopuse and otg cable to another android phone it works.

so i think because USB devices is not turned on PC as mouse does not reconignize the phone/mouse..

My idea was to install with adb a mirror app on phone to mirro phone pc to check all apps and settings...

does anybody have an idea to turn un UDB device on the phone so it reconige PC or mouse??

 Hi,

Can i just add on newer Xperia devices, auto detection of USB devices via OTG cables are disabled- however if you connect the mouse BEFORE you turn the device on, it will detect at startup.

If i connect a mouse to my Sony Z3 Compact, how can i control the screen pattern to unlock the phone if i cant even see the screen? It's black and the only way i can see the screen is if i connect the phone by HDMI to my TV.

 BUT.....how can i  have the phone connected to my TV and connected to  a mouse at the same time in order to see how to unlockl the pattern code?

Hi from 2017! Same Boat here... my M4 AQUA screen is totalled, i already have a new one but there's data on there i really need and have no idea here...Gonna keep reading this old thread, hopefully it gets better, ... no spoilers*!

Good day, my problem is not to unlock my phone, but to select the transfer files option on my screen

I can't connect a mouse and computer at the same time to be able to select the usb mode?  I can see the option but can't select it at all using the touch screen. Please help!
