maps - not working

""Unfortunately Maps has stopped....this is the message i always get after entering start from and go to locations...

Does anyone haveany idea on how  to get this preinstalled app to  even work...i've only had the phone 2 weeks...?

Settings-apps-all-maps,force stop and clear data.Make sure to have mobile data,wifi and location active.

if that doesn't work then

settings > apps > all > maps > uninstall updates > restart the phone > check again.
