Movies app shows wrong language subtitle

I am using xperia z with all available updates. My problem before this was i can't see any subtitles using the movie app and i found a way that adding subtitle file to the movie folder make the subtitle visible but, now the problem is the subtitle not showing the right language i don't know what the language is but it is not showing english. That file and movie  work fine with MX PLAYER in english but not with the movies app. I like this app so somebody please help me..

Are you sure you have downloaded correct subtitles? Movies isn't the right app to play actual movies,it is more for the recorded videos.

That subtitles work with mx player perfectly. I don't know what wrong with this movies app. The clarity of the videos are srunning that why i care about this pronlem.. Can u help me..

Have you tried to clear data for movies app under settings-apps-all?
