new Z2 loses sense of touch while after a while

My 3 days old Z2 suddenly hang and freeze I couldnt touch the screen, the device respond to any button press and I can recieve calls but I cant open it.. I can not restart my device unliss I press the micro red button beside the SIM card,
Is that a software or hardware problem, please feedback. Thank you in advance

Is there anything near the top of the phone? I've read on the forum that it could be something blocking the proximity sensor.

U all agree that is a software problem..

The problem happened 5 times today.. The proximity sensor is in best situation, I couldn't boot in safe mood that way didn't work. I ll go for the pc companion.

how come you were not able to boot on safe mode?
