Problem with tethering/hotspot

Since updating the software on my Z5 compact, my hotspot function doesn't work properly. When I enable the Hotspot, it turns off with a second or too. If I keep trying, it occasionally will stay on, but its very hit and miss.
Any help?

Can't help but discovered I have the same issue on mine, used to work fine

I talked to Sony today, the recommended repairing the phone software, using the Xperia Companion software via my laptop. I did a back up first, then did the software repair option. It's worked, but it's not a fast process and you essentially reset your phone back to a new one - but it has solved my problem.

I cant coonect my usb otg on my xperia z5, i already go to the device connection>usb connectivity, its already connected but in the notification bar it says "A security policy restricts the usr of USB storage" please help

Well, spoke too soon. I'm back to the hotspot failing more times than it locks on.

Really frustrating. Having done what Sony said and gone through the software repair - I then had to spend hours reloading aps and sorting out permissions etc.

Only now to be back to the same problem. This update to 7.0 appears to have been badly managed.
