QC SEMC Service uses lots of data

Since a few weeks I found in the summary of "My Data Manager" the app QC SEMC Service.

This app uses about 4 MB every day of my data.

what is this app used for and why is it using such a lot of my data since a few weeks.

Is your phone locked to a specific network?

I think this is related to anonymous usage statistics been sent to either Sony or Google regarding apps you use/downoad and how you use your device etc etc

I don't exactly know what you mean by locked.

My phone switches at home to my wife network and when I'm out it uses 3g or 4g network from my provider.

Did you get your phone from a carrier?

Yes, I got it from T-Mobile a year ago.

I have never seen this app before until a few weeks.

It might be as Thommo says. You should check if you have enabled send anonymous data to google and sony but for now I am not sure where that option is.

Thanks, That option was checked. I unchecked it and now wait for a day to see what will happen.
