Style Cover SCR24 for Z3 crash with Lollipop

Hello,

I am getting frustrated with this issue.

I have a sony experia Z3 (D6603) and style cover SCR24 which used to work fine but the cover support app now crashes 100% of time wih Lollipop.

The message I get when closing my cover with the phone on is (in french) l'application "etui-support" s'est malheureusement arrêtée. Which transltes to cover support app unfortunately crashed.

I have seen similar issues in the forum but no solutin works for me.

Can someone from Sony help find a solution?

Take it off,  scan nfc put it back in.

Sorry to hear that you have issues with your style cover.

We got some reports of this on Z3 Compact and it's something that we are investigating. Could you please check my post here and send me an event log?

Still no news. Still not working. Disappointed by Sony quality of service. Very Able to sell fancy very expensive devices, unable to guarantee quality of service the selling price deserve.

I left the message in other post in this forum, but.

I also had the problem with SCR24 force close. Until I loaded a non-branded firmware for my Z3 (6603).

I used to have the Orange branded version, but on the CE1 (central europe) all work fine.

So the problem is in branding.

I will try this solution.

Can you just tell me where I can find a non branded firmware? I am on Orange as well so this might well be the problem.

We have started rolling out a new version of the Style Cover app now. The availability of this update may depend on local and operator approvals so it's not certain that you have received it yet.

Please let me know in case you should still see any issue with the new version.
